Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to fame after releasing her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than a Number in 1994. The singer was only 15 at that time, and the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the singer to the forefront. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland for her sophomore studio album One In A Million, which featured the #1 hit single If Your Girl Knew. Aaliyah was recognized internationally as a R&B artist with the release of her second album One In A Million. She was also as a character in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. She started her acting career with minor TV and film parts, however her fame grew during the middle 2000s. Other notable works she has done are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She also appeared in several commercials including Volvo as well as other major auto companies. The actress lives within Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and will continue to pursue an acting career.
