Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is an American actor, producer and model. His fame was sparked by his appearance on Road Trip. Since then DJ Qualls has appeared in a variety of feature films including the The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. Alongside his role as a character in the film, he's played in over 22 television series such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order & others. As a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which he was diagnosed with at the age of 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. His cancer went into remission after two years. But treatment at an early age left severe impact on his body as well as hindered his growth. When he was a kid, he was familiar with poverty and so financial stability was the main objective. He has said that "I've been living a frugal lifestyle for so long that I need financial security otherwise everything will seem out of control and that's not good for me." He reflects on his childhood, and wants to take action against being bullied. In my opinion, cruelty is a heartbreaking thing he claims. The ideal role for DJ is that of a real-life father. He admits that Directors do not have him cast in the roles he is suited for. In the future, he'd love to be a father himself as he is empowered to give less attention on his work and more to the child he has.
