Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She is the owner and director of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California has an affluent life. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who was later a part owner of the Lakers along with various other sports organizations. After her parents divorced in 1972, she began to feel emotionally abandoned. When she was 19 years old she joined the family business as the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Later, she founded in the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. Prior to becoming vice-president of the Lakers in 2013, she was president of Great Western Forum. Buss inherited the Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. Five siblings of hers were the inheritors through a family trust. She assumed the office as president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is co-owner of Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional company based in Los Angeles.
